If you know that you really love her, then sit down with her and talk about it. If you are both tired of the situation, then find a way to try to stop it.
There are certain "big" issues that you may disagree on, and maybe those won't change, but there probably is a way to stop bickering about the little things. Like, don't always be the one who needs to get that "last" word in. And ignore the small stuff. I know those are cliches, but try and see if it helps!

The same thing happened with me and my girlfriend. What ended up happening was us breaking up for a few months. We then realized how much we missed each other and cared for each other and got back together and it has been alot better ever since. Not much arguing and when there is, we work it out alot better.

You are not mature enough for her. If you argue ALOT, its obvious you don't get along. Sure, you may love her, but if you don't get along, you have to move on. Better than making both of you miserable all the time.

Get counselling, separately and together. You must change your communication pattern, which is dysfunctional. If you break up, you will both carry it into future relationships. It will be mega-hard, but stop arguing now. You both win, or...

Why do you both feel the need to argue? Could the age difference be causing consternation that manifests itself in other areas?
You both need to sit and and decide what is important in this relationship and what you BOTH need to sacrifice to make it work.
otherwise, you may as well go your separate ways.

it has to be the age difference. She is much older and more of a demanding motherly type. You are still young and she is nearly 40. I would break up and find someone closer to your age OK.

if you argue over nothing and do it often than the love you have isnt real, its infatuation, or lust, or just fear of being without one another. be the brave one and call it a day, move on to the next one.
