Try a couple of tablespoons of yogurt. When I was pregnant and had heartburn my doctor suggested yogurt and it worked fine. Please don't try milk. My doctor told me specifically no milk for heartburn because while it will temporarily give a feeling of coolness, it will only make things worse in the long run. It's because milk can be hard to digest and your stomach will in turn produce even more acid thus making heartburn worse.

It won't cure it but anything that you can eat or drink that is a base will help to stop the pain. Also watching your diet and not eating spicy foods or foods that are high in acid will help.
