The ones the dealers use. There is no universal scanner sold by anyone that will do all the functions of the factory scan tool. They are available for sale, but you are pretty much stuck with whatever brand you buy. GM, Ford, Chrysler... etc

I like the Auto X-Ray scanner products which are also ready for the new CAN bus interfaces that some of the newer cars are changing over to from the OBD-II interface.

Auto Zone ... they will scan your vehicle for free, if your not mechanic their is no justifying the cost of buying one ... having said that Snap-On hehe!
