I do not have a favorite american actor/actress. These days too much is based on appearance rather than talent. So most of my favorite actors are British.
Hugh Laurie comes to mind...

Gene Hackman is one of them...bet you'd like his movies(like Bat 21, Behind Enemy Lines) since you like Vic Morrow. (Mr. Morrow was my hero on the old TV show "Combat"....I loved that show as a kid, and the opening Song sticks in my heart and mind)
Hey I was born in 1957, and got to live though some amazing times. Would not trade my life for anything in the world:)

There are quite a few actors I like but if I have to pick one it would be Tom Hanks, I love that he can play serious roles such as in Saving Private Ryan and The Green Mile, I love how he can play funny roles like in Big and The Burbs. I also Love how he can combine humor and emotion like in Forrest Gump and Cast Away. I think no matter which aspect you look for in an actor you will find it in Tom Hanks
