I was in the USAF and so what he - I got transfered to his squadron and met him the first day there - he was like four levels above me. He seemed to like me right away but I thought he was mean and a jerk. Three months later he asked me out - that was in 1989...we started dating and he wanted me to move in with him - I said no way unless we are 'married' - so we had out our own type of 'civil union' with all our friends and family in 1992 - of course it is not legal but I still wanted to make the statement - then we moved in together and - --well next thing you know it is 2006.

Actually, I met my partner chatting on line (gay.com) We seemed to share lots of common interests and over a short period time, we became good friends. He lived in another town about an hour away, so we did not actually meet each other face-to-face for a few months. We chatted daily on either gay.com of Yahoo IM, exchanged emails and pictures. Before we had even met in person, we already knew so much about each other. Eventually we met and things just 'clicked' for us. We started seeing each other as often as we could, spending the majority of our time off of work getting to know each other better. Our friendship grew into a love and our love grew into commitment. 5 months after we started seeing each other, he transferred jobs and moved in with me. We have been together for almost 4 years now and still going strong.

well, I initially met my partner through his younger brother (who is my age). I was dating his younger brother about 4 years ago now and we were hanging out in the downstairs flat where my partner stays, watching movies. I had my suspicions about him by this point but didnt make anything vocal, it wasnt my place.
The younger brother and I split up after a while, and i moved on and eventually started to date this one guy, Stephen. about 2 weeks into this, I soon discovered that he was also dating my partner (the younger brother's brother!) at hte same time. Word got out and my partner and I got real angry with each other, blaming one another. We soon sorted things out and made a plan to screw Stephen over. we eventually got rid of him and he moved away. My partner and I began to see more of eachother until he asked if i was keen to take things a little further. With all that we had been through, i wasnt going to say no at that point! good thing i didn't, its coming up 2 1/2 happy years very soon and i dont regret a single minute of it!

At a party. We went out a few times after, then got more and more serious as time went on. Now were moving in together next week! We have been together almost a year now and show no signs of slowing down! Im so excited to start my life with him, and who knows!! Maybe marriage someday (if legalized) til then, Canada or Europe here we come!!!

Well I dont mean to write a book but we met because her aunty used to babysit my son. I found her acttractive and gave her a KEY to my house,and then she would come over everynight and cook dinner for me and my son we would chill for a little while and then she would leave then one day I told her she didnt have to go home and thats what started it off.The next thing I knew she was moving in and she still there .

I try to help pets get adopted too, but I haven't met any people to date at the rescue groups I go to, sigh. No girlfriend or boyfriend as of yet.

We were both volunteers for an animal rescue group! The sparks were flying. We swapped phone numbers and 2 yrs later....here we are! Very much in love and totally committed.

my partner saw my profile on planetout.com and emailed me. we emailed back and forth and then talked on the phone, and in 2 weeks we had our 1st date. we've been together over 2 years now and living together almost 2 years.

I knew him for a few years, but I really got 2 know him when he came ova 2 my best-friends(Angel and Jeremy)house. I could tell he wazz flirting w/ me 'cause he wazz always sittin' by me and jokin' around w/ me and stupid stuff like dat, but, he must have liked me a lot, because we've been goin' out for 4 months straight now!!!!
