Who thinks Mario Williams was a good 1st Pick of the NFL Draft? Well, the Texans.

What a bunch of idiots. For running a record of 6 and like 50 for 4 years, I would have expected them to hire like a Dairy Queen manager to pick the first pick in the NFL, but NO! They didn't even do that.

Considering Domanick Davis is already having swelling in his knees, and summer camp just started, I'm sure picking Mario Williams over Reggie Bush was a great pick. Yeah, let's pass over the Heisman-winning tail back when our starting tailback is having knee problems. I don't think Mario Williams will live up to his hype at Houston. Not enough talent around him. People forget one thing; NC State had an awesome defensive line, and that's what made Mario Williams look so good.

"The Houston Texans!" That was the biggest lie ever that they thought Mario is a better choice than Reggie Bush. They will regret it this year. Even if Mario Williams turns into the best DE in the game, that will still not sell tickets or make people watch them on TV. The Saints have already sold like 50,000 season tickets, mostly because of Reggie Bush.

The jury is out - all draft picks need a couple years of experience to see if they will match up to the expectations placed on them. I know that the Packers were definitely eying him at the No. 5 pick (they took AJ Hawk - LB out of Ohio State) before Williams' stock took off just before draft day...

Everyone wants to evaluate the draft the day after - I think report cards should be handed out 2-3 or even 5 years later - that's when you have an idea of how much these guys can contribute...

I think he has the potential to be awesome, a real game changer, but it remains to be seen how hungry he is to play, and if the defensive system that he is put into correctly utilizes his skill to make maximum impact.

i think that drafting mario williams was a good choice. sure u could have gone with the heisman trophy winning reggie bush, but they would have wanted a back with experience. which they could acquire later in the off season. as for vince young, he seems to also need more experience. nfl and college training are much different from one another. houston got what they needed and so far so good.

Yes he was, for the Texans. Dominak Davis is a good HB who can grind out the yardage. He rushed for 1300+ for the Texans last season, and there defense is attrocus last year. The Texans are definiately became much better over the offseason.

I think for what Houston needed since they already have Dominick Davis, it was a good pick. The Saints are just lucky that the Texans most dire need was not another RB.

The Texans need help in several places, DT being one of them, but I still cannot fathom why they'd pass on Bush. they're not hog-tied by the salary cap and they need a RB to help Carr. Oh well........
