Try to sit in the quietest corner of the room if it's really loud. I don't think the volume would *harm* your baby, but it might upset him. My daughter was at 2 weddings around that age, and she enjoyed them!!

My daughter was 3 months old at 2 weddings and my nephew was 6 weeks old at a friends wedding. There were live bands at both. Also, my daughter was 5 weeks old for the 4th of July back in 2002. She survived.

I dont think it would really matter if the baby is only 5 months. Its not like the baby will be crawling around and pulling table cloths off or anything like that. I would take my baby if shes only 5 months old.

I took my son when he was 1mth old. I just try to stay as far as possilbe from where the dj. was set up. If I could had a baby sitter (family member) I would of left him instead because they don't really know what it's going on and you really can't enjoy yourself. But it was my bro. getting marry.

if the baby makes too much noise you have to leave and go far enough away he can't be heard. you just have to be responsible that the baby doesn't detract from the wedding.

go ahead and bring your baby. all that stuff shouldnt be too loud for him. just make sure to bring some headphones / earphones just in case it might be too loud, then you can just place them over his ears

I think if you keep your son quiet and take him out if he gets fussy it would be OK.
