What your 18 month old is going through is seperation anxiety! When the father leaves the room the baby thinks he disapeared! And that if the baby cant see him he isnt there anymore! Something you can do to help your baby understand that there is nothing to be afraid of is play peek a boo with him/her hide behind a wall and poke your head out saying something like "Here I am"! or when the father leaves the room have him reasure from the next room over to the baby that daddy is still here! I know this may seem like another frustrating moment with you little one but keep telling yourself that this too shall pass. This is very common for a child his/her age and will not harm them in any way! Good Luck!

try taking the baby through some repetitive seperation steps:

let 18 month old hand daddy things he needs- keys, shoes, whatever.

help daddy close the door and wave goodbye out the window.
if baby feels important and helpful this might help adjustment!

get baby busy with things before getting sad and crying. and don't feel like you need to trick 18 month old by going into another room when daddy leaves. this is life and baby can learn seperation skills!

good luck!

Hes develpoed a bond witht hte father which is really good. But you have to spend more time with him. Get the father to take a day of he probably needs it anyway and then just take the time yerself to bond with the child. Make the time enjopyable also make the father be stricter with the child. so that both of you take on the responsible role aswell as the fun role

Leave her to throw her fits and ignore her when she's doing so. Never go to check on here while she's doing this, at least not where she can see you. It's an attention thing, when you quit giving that attention and she realizes it, then she'll quit. As long as you respond to it though, you're nothing more than her pawn.

Chances are its a phase, just let her know its not acceptable to throw stuff so she doesnt hurt someone and if it starts to get out of hand maybe a timeout. Other than that I would just let it pass. Both my girls went thru phases like this and it only lasted a couple weeks if that.
