Im having problems renaming files?

Question

If i first save something in a folder, for some reason it doesnt let me rename it, like for example if i upload pictures from my phone, i cannot rename them after saving them into a folder, can anyone help me out here?
Everytime i want to change the name, it says that if changed, wont be able to open it,

if i change it the icon changes so everytime i want to open it, i have to select the program to use to open it - what shal i do?

MAKE SURE U DONT CHANGE THE FILE EXTENSION

IE...

WHEN U TRANSFER FROM A PHONE...USUALLY THE FILE IS CALLED

DSC000000098.JPG OR SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES...

WHEN U CHANGE IT...MAKE SURE THE .JPG STAYS THERE...

Shift + Right click on the file. Select Open With Select the Programme u want to open it. Then there is a checkbox as Always open this programme to open these type of files. Click that check box.
Now u wil not need to rename it.

When you re-name, you need to keep the .mpg .jpg .mp3 .mp4 etc etc. the bit on the end after the full-stop. This tells the computer/phone what the file type is, so it knows what to open it in. You can change the rest to your heart's content, but don't use . or / as these are computer talk for things, so it won't like it.

your song probable did no longer get deleted yet considering you could't high quality you itunes whilst your comp close off it probable deleted something itunes needs to works. So try downloading it back and with a bit of luck it fairly works if no longer call client provider

make sure ur not changing the file extension..for instance..if the file is picture1.jpg...make sure ur not trying to save it as funtimes....ull have to save it as funtimes.jpg
