Those Neocons in govt havecut education spending, health spending, cut taxes (which benefits only the rich ) and are leaving a huge debt for your grand kids to pay and plus they are sending your poor kids to die in a war while most of them were draft dodgers or found a good way out of fighting in Vietnam like Cheney, Rumsfeld, Gingrich, wolfowitz and the rest. And who is benefiting from the war, Cheney and his friends at Haliburton where he was CEO at one time. Also their friends in the oil industry are having a party !!! By the way Cheney , Rumsfeld, and Condi were all oil executives at one time !!! Wake up smell the cofee !!! watch some other news besides Fox and you will see the truth !!!

berea you must be smoking something if you think the rich people are spending their money keeping the economy afloat thats an old republican myth. only tax cuts for the poor help the economy since they will go out and spend money to keep it going. Also tax cuts for corporations works. As for the kids going to war they could have done more good in afghanistan finding Bin laden than stirring up a hornets nest in Iraq that we can never walk away from now since its an aboslute mess that will take years to fix!!

I'm not rich and I like tax cuts. Besides, since when is it the government's (ultimately the tax payers) responsibility to provide health care for everyone? And obviously throwing money at education over the years has done anything BUT help, so it's time we took an alternate strategy.

It's obvious from your comments that you are one of those people who get their news from "The Daily Show".

Education spending has gone up each of the past five years - as has health spending. I'm no where near rich - but I enjoyed the tax cuts I did receive. There is a reason why we have a deficit - its called protecting our country and the deficit is coming down. How? With all the tax cuts, there is increased revenue which brings in more taxes from all sources. Our deficit is coming down much faster than what was expected.

Poor kids aren't going into the military - it's a "voluntary army" or haven't you heard about that? You forgot to mention that the Iraqi people were also benefiting from the war. Now where is all this truth that I may be missing?

Because they are IGNORANT who think they will be MILLIONAIRES one day by supporting the GOP. They forget that you need a BRAIN to be able to be rich or be CORRUPT and have good contacts, and normally those are reserved for a select few.

These people are so wrapped up in money they don't realize what it takes to be rich, they just figure voting for the GOP helps them with it, even if the only money the GOP gives goes to oil/military contract CEOs.
