I understand the purpose of a Gay Pride parade in that it is effectivly a rebuttal to the stigma associated with homosexuality. But what is the purpose of a Straight Pride parade?

Yeah, some college campus is having a straight pride week put on by the school's student republicans.

"We're straight! We're great!" LOL!

Any reason for a party - leave them be. They don't have anything to prove - so what?

For sure, they won't Dance as well as those on a Gay Pride parade :)

Oh, that's cute. Everyone else gets to show pride in their race or gender, due to one or two ignorant people saying ignorant ****... but when a white straight man wants to show pride in all of achievements of white men throughout the ages, we're automatically wrong and evil. At some point, I hope you people see how hypocritical and ignorant you are. In your delusional minds, you see white men being the privileged class. Why? Because white men actually realized that you can't make an omelet by bitching and moaning an egg into submission? You have to achieve SOMETHING of value to EVERYONE before you can be applauded. Your race or gender or sexual orientation might be better off to put aside the constant whining for privileges that you haven't earn and actually go out and EARN your respect. That's what white men have been doing throughout the ages... building roads, bridges, aqueducts, sewers, the car, the space ship, etc, we've proven ourselves worthy of any privileges through DEEDS. BUT, today, we seem to be despised for the cons rather than praised for the pros. Are white straight men flaunted on TV as being the most sexy thing ever put on this planet?? NO. Women are... maybe even bisexual women. That's kind of feels like segregation and oppression to me. Even overweight women are lauded above overweight men. Women need to be reminded how important their men are and how important it is to hold onto those men... to actually value their men. Will feminists allow that?? Hell no.

BUT, women can whine about how men are objectifying them... even if it's a natural sexual response. Women can whine about not getting enough of this and getting too much of that.

Women and black people have more rights than they think. In the 1980s, there was a law passed, allowing anyone to get work anywhere... and any discrimination against them would be illegal. Those people who felt discriminated against could sue the company. BUT, if a person doesn't step up and act on their own behave, they will eventually feel oppressed and depressed and lash out like people are doing today. It's not my fault or any other white man's fault if you people can't figure out how to stand up for yourselves.

My guess would be: to try to piss people off. No matter what, a straight pride parade cannot be held for the same REASONS that a gay pride parade is. That having been said, there are any number of reasons that COULD be behind it, but I think it's usually a celebration of the percieved superiority of one's heterosexual orientation.

It is to turn out the factor that NO ONE must take delivery of distinctive therapy simply since in their sexual option. I used to be status in line on the remarkable marketplace and glanced over the quilt of the magazines. I spotted that some of the men of a "boy band" used to be at the duvet "popping out" approximately being homosexual. I DON'T CARE! He will nonetheless placed his pants at the identical method, sing his songs the identical method, fall in love with any person. He could now not have made the declaration if he used to be heterosexual. Can you please inform me why he's at the duvet for THAT? Really, I do not get it.

I can't really give you a correct response. But I must say that people are going to celebrate who they are whether they're gay, lesbian, straight, etc. As long as people take pride in themselves (in a positive way) who cares. Right?
