I live on Becks Pond--when I moved in, other residents told me that swimming is not recommended due to water quality issues. You're not supposed to eat the fish you catch, either. I heard something about a sewage line leaching into the pond some time ago.

It is a lovely view, though, and fine for boating.

People are fishing there all the time...it might not be too easy. Then again, I know someone who decided to swim in the Hoopes Resevoir...probably not the best idea.
