Not the greatest, but depends on your budget!

Guessing is about £50! Might be better of at the Ibis on Portland Street, or the Brittania. Central and not far from everything.

Bit more money, try Malmaison, Midland or The Place.

5*? Use the Lowry or the Radisson Edwardian - gorgeous!

Late Rooms or superbreak should have some good deals!

I'm not sure but the following are good.

Lowry Hotel
50 Dearman's Place, Chapel Wharf,
Salford, Manchester M3 5LH.
Manchester/Salford's major AA rated 5 Star Hotel on the Salford side overlooking the River Irwell with immediate access to the Deansgate area of Manchester via the breathtaking Trinity Bridge overlooking the River Irwell. It has 165 air conditioned and large superbly appointed luxury bedrooms with a Health & Fitness Centre on site with 6 treatment rooms, separate relaxation rooms, sauna and gymnasium. Opened in early 2001, it is a light contemporary and comfortable hotel, with restaurant facilities and bar offering a wide range of world and ethnic cuisine. Conference facilities available.

Travellers Retreat 2

Located about 5 minutes drive from Manchester city centre, with excellent transport links.
Every one of the rooms at the Traveller's Retreat Manchester offers an opulent blend of modern décor with warm natural tones and luxurious personal touches. The sleek lines of the designer furniture are beautifully complemented by a relaxing ambience and mood-enhancing lighting. A luxury lodging experience.
A modern food menu in the restaurant with a European flavour - modern, stylish with a superb range of dishes.
Bar Lounge offering champagnes, cocktails and a list of fine wines to suit even the most discerning - all set in a great atmosphere.

Stay Inn

55 Blackfriars Road, Salford M3 7DB
Situated at the corner of Trinity Way and Blackfriars Street, just 5 minutes out of the city centre over the River Irwell and within the city of Salford, the Stay Inn has all the facilities you would expect of a modern hotel within this budget price range. Modern, purpose built, minimal and clinical, without the luxury you might expect of a larger city centre hotel, but this is reflected in the prices. The Hotel has 64 bedrooms, all ensuite, each room for up to 3 people, with full Colour Television and Satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms, and free secure parking on site. There is a resident's bar and restaurant. Specially designed rooms for the disabled on the ground floor. All rooms centrally heated with air conditioning. Licenced restaurant (residents only) on site, with special menus and diets available by prior arrangement. No lifts. No dogs. Reception desk open 24 hours a day. Secretarial facilities available.

Some more are Arora on Princess Street [opposite the Art Gallery] , Malmaison near Picaddily train station, or for top money you could try the Midland or the Renaissance

I guess it depends on what you mean by good.
.
I had a room with no window once and I found it disconcerting to not be able to see if it was light or dark outside or raining or not, etc.

The location of the hotel is great.

"good" and "manchester" don't belong in the same sentence together, unless it's "where's a good place to get shot to bits and hear some of the world's worst accents in Manchester?"
