Of course, you could use some cover-up, but you have to make sure that it matches your skin color and blends in nicely. I've seen too many people wear cover-up that just does not match their skin, and that just makes the pimple more obvious. Make sure the cover-up doesn't have any pore-clogging oils, as that would make the zit worse. The container would probably tell you that it was non-comedogenic or non-acnegenic (doesn't clog pores). You could pop it if it was a whitehead or blackhead by using a special tool with a type of hooked end that you press AROUND, not on, the pimple. You can get them at drugstores and I know that revlon makes a nice one. My dermatologist even used it on me. You should wash it with a special acne eliminating face soap afterwards too, so it doesn't come back. Be careful though, as the tool can cause scarring. I used it to pop a pimple, and it did cause a bit of a scar, but it is going away. Good luck.

If it has any flaking around it (which it probably does if it's healing) green makeup will only get caught up & make it look horrible. Stay away from green...if you're wanting to reduce redness, put some Visine on a Q-tip and hold it against it for a few minutes.

You might try putting some Neosporin over it, which will help with flakes and create a smooth surface (the pore is already clogged or you wouldn't have a pimple, so don't stress about this!) then pat a cream concealer over it and set with powder.

Believe me though, a thick layer of makeup that doesn't match your skin looks a whole lot worse than a pimple!

You can now get medicated concealer sticks, although this is not recommended for using on the whole facial area, it can be helpful for a budding spot or two.

Foundation is okay to use and may give you more confidence if you've got a hot date, but remember to look for oil-free or 'non-comedogenic'.

Whatever you use to put it onto your skin, wash your hands or sponge before applying foundation.

If it is serious see your GP, otherwise you can get medicated cover sticks and powders in a variety of shades that will not only provide good coverage, but treat the acne as well.

try soaking a cottonball with visine and hold it on the zit for about a minute (this will take the redness away) then use a small brush to cover with concealer. If it's big and sticks out hold an ice cube over it for several minutes before using the visine.

if it's ready to be relieved from the skin, remove it (you know pop it) and use some acne medication like stridex pads or oxy pads.. and let it dry.

don't scar the face up too much but in most cases you cover it up it gets worse and clogged more and could turn into a cyst if you're not careful, let the zit breathe.

Before you use cover up, put some redness reliever eye drops on a Q-tip and dap that on. It helps take the swelling and redness down, you can also use preperation - H to do this. I know it sounds gross, but it works. Then use a lighter cover up than your regular make up.

green make up neutralizes the redness, then normal makeup will cover it

You shouldn't cover them up. Sure they may look "ugly" to you but people'll see it and just go "yep, i know what it's like"
