A very funny point. But the reality of it???
The Kings of Israel were commanded by God that they should ride donkeys and not horses because horses came from Egypt, and after having delivered them up out of Egypt, God told them to never go back, not even for horses. (King Solomon did this and it was a great sin against God).
This is one of the ways that the people of Israel recognized Jesus as their Messiah is that He came riding in through the gates of Jerusalem on a donkey -- the mark of a King -- and the fulfillment of Messianic scripture.
