A glass rear is an artificial rectum given to people with severe athlete's foot. I think your salesman was joking around with you.

Yes. The rear window is glass. The soft top unrolls to make a sunroof (partially down) since the roof accordion folds. So basically the sunroof would be the first fold.
You press the roof down button and it folds back into the sunroof position and stops. If you want the roof down more, you press (and keep pressing) to the down roof button. Your side windows go down, the top unlatches and goes back, and the rear window disappears into the hatch area.
It's a great car -- I highly recommend it. (go for the S model)
