I have been to Laganas 3 times already. Once in June and twice in September but this year I am going in August and was wondering how busy it is in comparison to June or Septmber. I am going on the 20th so it's the last week of August. Also, does anyone know what the temperature would be like and the average cost of things such as meals in restaurants, cigarettes etc.

Laganas should be well and truly bouncing until the end of August! Temperatures are in the high 30's at the moment (37 today on the mainland, so a tiny bit cooler on the islands) and they are saying on Greek TV that we may be heading for a heatwave! (so what have the past 2 months been then?)
There's a good selection of restaurants and snack bars to cater to every budget, so you can eat reasonably inexpensively if you want to, and also treat yourself from time to time too. Don't smoke, so don't know cig prices, but A LOT cheaper than UK!

Busy. A lot of Greeks take holidays in August - though, probably, not in Laganas. Temperature could be mid thirties. Fags and meals are cheaper than here -especially if you buy Greek fags - Karalia or Ethnos.

I went to Zante last August ( Argassi ) and Laganas was very busy.

It is very busy,almost annoying if you are not english.It has a lot of english people by that time,it's like you are not in Greece but to an english village.
But,it's still nice!

it is a school/college holiday so it will be much the same as in july.. did you goto the island bar where you have to walk across a rope bridge to get to it.. and inside is a bar ?. that was great....
