Let's see, since they went 7-8 in interleague play, there definitely are.
The Mariners took 5 of 6 from them, and the Angels, Athletics, and Rangers each took a game from them.

I think everyone in the AL minus maybe Tampa Bay and the Royals could beat the Padres. The NL West, while a close race isn't very strong. Let alone the fact that the AL dominated interleague play this year...I hate to say this but right now the AL is stronger

Well are we talking one game or a series. AL or NL rules? Either way the was the AL has been playing vs the NL any AL team minus the Royals and Rays could easily beat them. The Royals and Rays might even have a shot if they play well, NL teams just don't stand up to the AL

YES!! Mostly all of the AL teams and contenders could beat the Padres and quite badly too I might add.

Quite a few. Padres will be overcome by the Rockies anyway; we took 3 out of 4 from SD about a week ago.

I think every AL team would spank the Padres.
I think the only teams in the National League that are good enough to finish any higher than dead last in the American League... are the Mets and the Cardinals.
Tampa Bay could win any of the NL divisions this year.

Red Sox, Yankees, Blue Jays, Orioles, Devil Rays, Tigers, White Sox, Twins, Indians, Royals, Rangers, Athletics, Angels and the Mariners all have a fair shot at beating them.
