well most girls are bitches...and they'll tell you it looks cool when you look like an idiot so you look like that everyday, but for the most part everyone has they're own opinion. and most likely Ur friends are just telling you the Truth to look out for you and what not. but don't worry about what other people think, don't do things based on what other people like or think looks good, do it if you like it and it makes you feel good. cause one of the most beautiful things about a girl is if she has confidence (not cocky tho). anyways people shouldn't judge you, and if they judge you by Ur looks, then they're not worth it. so just be Ur self.

It's probably somewhere in between. Your closest friends were probably just shocked at the difference in the change from the natural you. You are the one that needs to be happy with the way you look, not anyone else. You might have had wrong colors for your coloring. If you aren't used to wearing cosmetics, then maybe go to a department store counter that sells them. The ladies that work there are usually pretty good, and they can help you pick out the right colors for you. Ask for about a makeover, it's usually free. Then if you don't want to spend the money on the store's products, you can go to the drug store (or wherever you shop) and buy similar colors from there.

Maybe, your friends were shocked that you were wearing make up at all! I am sure that you can make a few changes to your make-up to keep it natural and pretty... and get the correct colors for yourself. Using the right colors is key to make-up looking good.
Here are some things to keep in mind:
-how old are you? Your age really determines how much and what colors to wear. No one should ever wear lots of unnatural colors, no matter how old you are. It always looks tacky. I am thinking that you are young? If so... try keeping everything light. Concealer for blemishes (you probably don't need foundation or powder), a little eyeliner in a brown or bronze color, one coat of mascara, and some pretty lipgloss to top it off should be plenty for daytime! For special occasions, try some eyeshadow and maybe a darker eyeliner.
-what is your hair, eye and skin color? Make sure that concealer matches your skin perfectly. It should blend into your skin and disappear when you put it on. Never, ever try matching concealer up with your hands, always try it on your face... this is the only way to ensure a perfect match. Have your coloring done by someone who knows what they are doing... they can give you the perfect make-up shades to make you look A+ :) Generally, browns work on everyone though!
-most importantly... play around! figure out what looks good and go with it! Never go overboard and keep things simple. Simple is pretty!

What really matters is what you think. Your friends could have had a point though, if you were wearing too much or if you used too many bold colors. Just as other people said, your friends probably want what's best for you, so at least listen to what they have to say. The key to wearing makeup really is to make it look like you aren't wearing any, but it should accentuate your best features. Ask someone at one of the makeup counters at the department stores what make-up would look best on you. Good luck.

Well you have to know how to apply make-up if you want to waear it. First of all you DONT want to look like you have 7 layers of your face. You want your make-up to blend into you skin. You dont want to get a shade of base that is too light or dark for your skin. The way you can find the right shade is to go to the store and sample a couple of shades on the inside of your wrist (that is the closest you can get to your actual face color without putting it in your face) and then blend it in. If it looks good then that is your match and if not wipe it off and try again. Also all the other things... mascara, bluch, eye liner, and lipstick... they need to look good too. Too much is never better. Let me know if you have any other questions.

It was probably just a big shock to your friends... try keeping your makeup natural looking and you wont have to worry about them saying you look like a zomby.

Perhaps you need more practice, or else you were wearing too much. When you first wear make-up, you should stick to stuff like mascara and lip-gloss. Then you can add on more over time - but NEVER wear too much!

go to a makeup counter at the mall, and ask for their advice on putting on makeup. They will show you good tips and recommend colors.
then buy the cheap versions of those same products at Walmart.
oh, and who the f cares what others think?
