I have always wondered this myself. My wife absolutely abhors sex and nudity in movies, magazines, and internet and thinks that it is the most evil thing in all of existence (although she is a sex fiend when it comes to us) and yet she has no problem whatsoever with violence. It seems that many Christians are this way. I think it goes back to the Victorian era when sex was very taboo, even among married couples.

I don't think it's all Christians--it's American Christians. I've heard that sex is fairly common on European television, but there are severe limitations on how much violence is allowed.

They fear what's inside themselves. Since they *typically* don't seem violent, they don't fear it. However, they all have sex - legal or otherwise - obsess over it, lust for it, watch porn, etc., therefore are afraid of it.
