I'm on about how gravity works as there are only theories for that. Anything you know of that has yet to have a definative answer through "modern western science"

Quantum Physics. Like photons popping in and out of "existence" while in motion. They are the smallest form of "light", considered particles of light, but have no mass and still carry energy. What the heck! Also, what they are calling "dark matter" the stuff that makes up the spaces between these photons and atoms and everything, what is that? What the heck! Ok. The more you read, the more you realize that you know nothing.

Gravitation is my favorite new "religion". Don't worry I still believe there's a ultimate energy source with a consciousness. Which is another thing that's so hard to explain. :)

Ground-breaking Modern science is virtually all theory!

But as to something that cannot be expained, but discovered through modern science.I think I saw it on horizon.

The human heart can actually be precognitive (sense something before it happens) it will change in rythem and send information to the brain before the so called master organ gets told by other means (eyes or ears...) a second later the areas in the brain that are ment to harbour emotional disposition eventually react, like oh how upsetting.

There has been many studies on this but no one knows how the heart does it, it just can!

At one atmosphere water boils at 212 degrees farenheit. There are millions of things like that. These are the basis of other aspects of science.

That said there are tons of things that science can not explain. let's say you have a precient dream about a friend, if we're just bags of chemicals and water, how is that connection possible. Is it a sense we're not aware of, or is it that we're all connected at a fundamental level in a giant symphony of the universe? String theory, suggests the latter is more likely and approaches a spiritual treatise in the regard that it can not currently be proven.

For the poster who asked about ice floating, it's because water molecules expand as they freeze. It has to do with the polar nature of water molecules. Without this property in the molecule the earth would be a ball of ice.

it cannot explain or, better say, predict what happened before the big bang. The rules of the universe before the state of being a giant black hole were supposed to have been completely different, but our science cannot say anything about that time.

it can say what happened immediately after the big bang (as close as 10 at -38 of a second can be described, if I'm not mistaken) but nothing of what was before the big explosion.

Nothing has a definitive answer, thats what makes science science we are always refinining studying improving and throwing theories away when we find convincing evidence for another theory

How acupuncture works ( it did for me anyway ) for the person who said "it's in your head ". No, because it works on animals too, they do not know that sticking a needle in them will make them better. It has shown to work on a number of animals, horses ,dogs, etc. I have seen it performed on pigs too, without any apparent discomfort, which is amazing as all you have to do is show a pig a needle and it squeals its head off!
