I usually say that my "favorite" Shakespearean play is whichever one I've read most recently...
There are at least a dozen of them that I absolutely adore, and it just doesn't make sense to me to try and figure out which one I like the best.
Among my favorites:
Tragedies: Hamlet, King Lear, Othello, Macbeth
Comedies: Twelfth Night, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream
Histories: Richard II
Under-appreciated: Coriolanus, Love's Labour's Lost

Macbeth, Hamlet, Tempest, King Lear, Merchant of Venice and Love Labor's Lost
I have done about 20 of his plays and these are the best as an actor, tech, and Audience
