My father was in the US Navy during WW2; I'll never forget seeing a film on the Holocaust and going to talk to him about the terrible atrocities which occurred; His response: "All the Jews are exaggerating; it never happened like that." After a rather heated discussion, I realized that my dad, in some aspects, was a total idiot! Mel is around the same age as me, so for him to believe his father is in itself beyond astonishing...The man has troubles, definitely, but come on....Even "jokes" in jest (supposed jest) when said around me are "off limits" and I'm the first to speak up and say so...And yes, I did like him in his younger years better then, say, the last 5-7 years...

there are so many people out there that say the stuff he said and so many other people said worse and its just funny to me that when a star like mel gibson says something everyone gets offended and the church wants an apology and they asked him to speak at one of their hight holy days, its just crazy how that works he is just human like everyone else and makes mistakes however people that don't have a life need to make his life public and scrutinize him throught the media

But he has a message. Too bad it's racist and offensive.
"Hi, kids, I'm Mel Gibson. (Swills out of his tequila bottle) You know, drive drunking is a serious matter. (Takes another hit).
You need to keep both hands on the wheel so you don't spill your drink. (gurgle, gurgle, gurgle) And remember, Jews are friends, not food."

Yeah. I use to watch those 'Lethal Weapon' movies and say to myself, "Wow, what a great actor. He is funny and he is a great man. He teams up with Danny Glover and they make a great pair!"
Now, when I see or hear about him after all that has happoened, it makes me realize how much of a great actor he was for not showing his true colors sooner. Makes you wonder.

YES, he was awesome as Mad Max and in all of the Lethal Weapon movies. Braveheart and The Patriot were O.K. too.

I'm glad he finally showed his true colours. He is nothing more than a lying bigot who hates Jews and gays.
Poor spoiled darling.
