I think they did. Especially since they were the first ones to say we should track their money. Then they go and tell them we are tracking their money.

Idiots.

No. This information had already been made public knowledge. The New York Times did very little to undermine Bush during the buildup to the Iraq War and in fact supported it all the way. In fact, they later printed an apology for not scrutinizing Bush Administration claims before the war.

No they did not. Their job is to publish news. Whether you see it as good news or bad news is your opinion. Some people like to be informed. And I hate to break it to you, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that the government tracks terrorist organizations by a money trail. It's not a new method. It wasn't a secret. There is no liberal conspiracy to undermine the President. Seriously. This is his last term. It's not like he's going to run again in two years. And it's not like Bush himself doesn't go on television declaring to terrorists that we are coming for them. That's wise. Put them on guard. Do you want to declare Bush a traitor now as well? Or is it ok when you don't believe the person/organization to be liberal?

The outed a program that violates the fourth amendment. If anyone is a traitor it's the president and the Times deserves all the credit in the world for protecting the people from the tyrant.

People who sacrafice liberty for security deserve neither.

I think Bush committed treason by going on television to say to Saddam (for 3 months) "We are coming. We are going to look for weapons of mass destruction".

He might as well have said, this is the date and time we will be there, please tidy up before we arrive.
