I love them both, but my favorite is Rober De Niro!!!

The young Pacino was better then the young De Niro but overall and at this moment De Niro is better.

I Agree....that is a good question. Even side by side in heat, its hard to cal one better than the other. I would have to say that De Niro is better for the pure gangster role, and pacino is more versatile although he still does a mean gangster when he wants. Sooooooooo I'll have to go w/ Pacino by a hair...a blonde one.

Here's how I see it. Can you imagine Al Pacino as Jimmy in "Goodfellas"? Can you see De Niro as Tony Montana? Or Michael Corleone? There's no difference in their abilities, in my opinion. It's just that, later, De Niro got the better movies

Man I have to disagree with pretty much everyone - Al Pacino is a better actor. He absolutely goes for it on every role, and has played more diverse roles. Look at Scent of a woman, for example. He wasn't the dominating crazy guy that people knew hiim for. Bobby always plays those roles.

Tough one. I think they are both equal.
In my opinion, they were way better earlier in their careers,
in terms of range and versatility in portraying a character....
