The Anaheim Ducks, no longer the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, was sold by Disney about 2 years ago I believe. As to the Angels, it should have been clear Disney sold them when they started this crap of the Los Angeles Angels of Anahiem. After all they still had to include teh Anahiem because of the contract that started with the city under Disney. Well the guy uses LA hoping to make more money.

Strong rumors? Try facts dude. Disney sold the Angels a couple of years ago to Artie Moreno. They sold the Ducks this year and the new owners changed the name from the Mighty Ducks to the Ducks.

Not only that, regardless of the Angels' new name, they are still making money. Its good for the Angels to change it to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, because people all over the Southland attends Angels games regularly. Most of their games are sellouts, and besides, Los Angeles Angels was actually the team's original name to begin with (1961), and they are only one of four pro sports teams in the L.A. area (Angels, Kings, Ducks, Galaxy) that started the franchise in the same metro area more than 10 years ago (Kings, '67-'68 season; Ducks, '93-'94 season; Galaxy [Major League Soccer inaugural debut in '96]).
