I don't know if it would be best to try to persuade people into using less gas to save money. Or should I take another way....

I think a paper persuading government and/or big oil into developing alternative energy sources would be a better paper. You caould discuss gasoline reduction, but with exploring viable solutions that would be economical and environmentally friendly.

It would be a better paper, and you'd have a clearer sense of audience.

i cant believe nascar is the fastest growing sport! got a couple of questions dealing with energy on my yahoo questions thing.
we're definitely in an energy situation where prices keep rising. my joyride will probably cost me more tomorrow! & i may not well afford it. there are many good reasons for cutting energy use which all conflict with "iits my $ & am free to spend it legally as i choose". instilling moral values is a noble quest.4 the earth 4 the children...rationing seems to me the only way to control,unfortunately, we cannot impose it on the planet & we do consume a piggish portion of the pie.

Suggest using LPG, much cheaper.

Though if you are in the US I don't know how good the amount of petrol stations selling it is over there, whilst over here (UK) it is in most petrol stations.
