Is there anything Irael can do to remain a nation and have peace?

Unleash them and let them wipe out the sorry excuses for humanity that have no aims other than to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. They have already tried the appeasement avenue and look what they get, more missiles and suicide bombers. It's high time to send these extremists the message that their tactics will not be tolerated.

They can't do it alone. George Bush can't do it alone. The only way we can ever have peace in the Middle East is if all the nations come together at negotiating tables. That said, it's not working for the United Nations.
In any case, Israel/Lebanon need support from the International Community -- not "helpful" advice like a "proportionate" response!

Don't you think a people who value life so much wants peace?
Don't you think a people who have gone through centuries of hatred, persecutions and murders want peace?
When countries in the region do not want peace; when countries make it a national obsession to wipe them out, there is no choice but to fight for survival. No option but to defend itself. No alternative but to take the fight to those bent on destroying a homeland carved out of blood, sweat and tears.

Continue to destroy terrorists, to hell with a cease fire.... the threat needs to be erradicated with all haste.
Israel already has a peaceful relationship with countries and organizations that do not attack Israel. Peace is entirely up to the Arabs.

it needs to show more restraint in use of its armed forces.use the global community to exert pressure on Lebanese govt. and involve UN peace keeping forces in its military operations so that there is some unbiased third party in btw.
