12 days after I turned 18, I hugged my family goodbye and headed for Army Basic Training, Dec 27th, 1968. What a long strange trip it was.

absolutely nothing i was able to buy a pack of cigarettes...for two weeks then they decided to change the age for smokers in New Jersey
