you need to install a program, you can download it quick and free at http://www.k9webprotection.com/. it works like a charm. you can block not only porn but gaming sites, personals, chat etc. basically you can choose for yourself what to block. i love it and it's easy to use, once it's installed, it's ready to go.

You can use special software, geared mostly towards parents for their kids, to block certain content. But like any filtering system, there's no solution that works 100%. Some of these blockers can also lock out legitimate sites.

If you want to prevent other users from viewing objectionable sites on your computer, you're best off checking the browser history after that person has finished their session and check what sites they've been to and then, if you feel comfortable, confront them on it.

If they're web savvy and can erase their history so that it's blank, you may call that into question as that would be suspicious. They could selectively erase their tracks, in which case, I don't think there's much you can do when someone is going out of their way to hide their online activities.

If you want to block them from yourself, you just need to exercise personal discretion on top of using blocking software. Just be aware of the pros and cons and exercise common sense. Information wants to be free.

1. You can use software but some are free, some aren't:
http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=porn&tag=srch

2. You modern/route has this function to block certain addresses

3. You make use a small trick but by this way - number of blocked addresses are limited:
- Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
- Open file "Hosts" by notepad
- you will see something like this

# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost

d. add a ip address begin with 127.xxx.xxx.xxx. (x = number) separate by one space and the address you want to block ( no http://)
for example
127.255.255.255 www.alchohol.com

Use a security program like Norton Internet Security and set up parental controls. You can select which types of sites, not just pornography, to which you wish to block access. Other security programs have this capability, too, and you can also employ tools like Net Nanny. If you are talking about a network, you can configure your firewall in like manner not to allow access to such sites.

May God bless and keep you.

There is free product available called "Parental Filter". While it is not as thorough at blocking porn as the retail products, it will do a pretty good job for the price.

many of the security software companies allow for parental controls to be installed. Symantec Internet Client Security is one of these. It costs sround $100 and comes with sites preconfigured to be blocked.

There are parent control programs, also a web page blocker could be helpful. In most cases you will enter them yourself first. Stay away from them many offer free viruses and spyware.

I found this program to be better then blocking sites. This program monitors what website you go to and will send a copy of those sites to a accountablity partner (wife, mom, dad, pastor). If you surf save sites then nothing shows up on the list sent to your partner. If you go on adults sites they will no about it. You can't shut it off without them knowing either.
