No, its not a sign of a urinary tract infection. If its only been 5 days you definately will not know if you are pregnant or not at this time. Here are signs of a UTI: feeling an urgent need to urinate or urinating frequently, having difficulty urinating, having a burning or cramping sensation in the lower abdomen or lower back, having a burning sensation while urinating, and having cloudy or foul smelling urine. Here are ways to prevent a UTI: drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, wipe yourself front to back, empty your bladder before and after sex (it gets out some of the bacteria that gets pushed into you), use a water based lubricant during sex if you feel dry down there, dont douche, dont use feminine deodorants for down there or strong soaps, change pads and stuff often, wash down there with warm water before sex, wear cotton uderwear, take showers instead of baths, avoid tight fitting clothing and pantyhose.
If you have a UTI or think you do, you need to get to a dr ASAP as it can spread up into your kidneys.

No. While you are at the doctor's to get medicine you will definitely need to clear that up, get a pregnancy test too.
I had a UTI 2 years ago and I thought I could clear it up with cranberry juice and all and that did not work. You need antibiotics. Stupid me laid around for a week, not realizing that I had a temperature of about 105 the entire time. My entire torso hurt. It was awful. I never want to go through that again. The fever for a prolonged time actually caused me an organic brain injury. I haven't been the same since. You need antibiotics. Good luck.

It could be a sign, I had a bad one with my second pregnancy. But I think what my doctor told me was that the pregnancy wasn't causing the infection it was my immune system acting goofy because of the pregnancy.
It could be a sign of your spouse not cleaning himself good enough before intercourse, also. My friend gets them alot and her doctor said that maybe her hubby is not cleaning himself enough. Not to say your hubby is not clean but there are lots of cracks and crevouses down there that some guys just over look cleaning out. I also know that some people just get UT infections alot, no matter what steps they take.

No, but you can get UTI's a lot when you are pregnant, when I was pregnant with my son I got them all of the time, are you trying to get pregnant because if you are your best bet would be to go to the drugstore and buy an ovulation test it will tell you exactly when you are ovulating so that you have a better chance of getting pregnant! Go to the doc though and they should be able to give you a blood test to find out if you are or not, and they will also give you an antibiotic to kill the UTI. Good Luck!

It could be, but its probably a UTI and you may be preggo on top of that. Don't take or use anything. Get a test. By the way, its almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a false positive, it's easy to get a false negative. So stay away from any meds/alcohol until you are sure. Good luck! And if you are trying, or have any reasonable chance of getting preggo, be SURE to start taking prenatal vitamins now for less chances of a problem later. It's a must.

No, I don't think so, but better go to the doctor to make sure. Drink a lot of liquids (mostly water if possible) to prevent getting UTI and other infections like that.

No, a UTI is just that. But you should get it checked out. If you are indeed pregnant, you should take care of the infection right away. I think it would be coincidental if you are pregnant though.
