I would like to say NO...I do not! But the truth is, everyone does. I'm not so shallow that I separate pretty people from ugly. I'd surely be tossed to the wayside if that were the case. I think physical appearance is often reflective of how a person feels inside. One doesn't have to be Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie to have a warm smile or friendly eyes.

Sometimes, because how a person presents herself is a way she's sending a message to the world. For example, someone who dresses well tells me that she takes pride in how she looks. Someone who has garish makeup might be telling me that she's angry with the world. someone who does not comb her hair or brush her teeth has the message that she does not care about herself. But these are just assumptions and should be fluid and not fixed. Assumptions should not lead to judgment, not that we should judge anyhow. Should always try to get to know the person too.

Probably, everyone makes snap assumptions. You can't help it. However, lots of times the people are kind and compassionate. It also depends on exactly what kind of physical appearance you're referring to!

I try really hard not to but sometimes it's difficult not to do this. I must admit it's one of my faults. Some people with a good physical appearance are rotten to the core (I learned the hard way), and some people with a poor physical appearance have turned out to be very good friends.

Everyone does. I just try not to let those assumptions get in the way. You have to give people a chance. I get passed those first impressions and get to know people. I have been suprised more that once.

I believe everyone has an initial judgement of a person with their first view, but hopefully a person will move beyond that once they talk with them a bit. I find that usually I'm correct with my first opinion, but once in a while I get surprised with what I find out about a person.

Of course, it's a natural human behavior. But just like the 1st poster stated, often you find that you're original assumption was wrong

To be honest I don't judge a person unless I have had the chance to talk and get to know the person first. I have found that if you judge a book by its cover, then you never get to know the real meat that is inside.

yes we all do and anyone who says otherwise is not being honest. It is hard to look past the first impression but work at it and eventually you will do a better job of seeing the person and not the shell.
