So I wanted to know what everyone's favorite games are. Doesn't matter the system, the decade, or the genre. Just give me your favorite games! Or, even your favorite system! I'm just interested in new/old/different games that I haven't looked into that all of you enjoy!

Just as a side thought...why are these your favorite? Any particular reason? I'm reading over this going "hmmm....interesting game names that I've never heard of" **gasp**...I feel so out of the loop!!! I've really gotta get back on the game band wagon!

My top 3 favorites:

1.) Wasteland - one of the first few games to run on a skill-based system, and one of the first few that actually had a real plot that unfolded as the game went along. A game that I play even today, 20-some-odd years after its release.

2.) Guild Wars - it is the epitome of everything I ever wanted in an RPG. To make it that much sweeter, it's an MMORPG. Even better, it's without a monthly fee. I co-led a guild with well over 100 people, made hundreds of good friends (a few of whom, our friendship I'll treasure long after I've stopped playing [greetz to ex-IG members {Damuok, g/l w/the marriage; Lainedil, g/l with Elexorien and with yours and Nocturne's guild; and the best wishes to Herb and Ash}, to Wraithguard's members, and AwSm's members]), and had an absolute blast with. Even though I have sworn to never play it again (personal reasons), it is tied with Wasteland as my favorite game of all time.

3.) Ancient Domains of Mystery - descendant of Nethack, descendant of Rogue, the great granddaddy of all dungeon crawlers. ADOM has a fairly decent plot, an overland (a rarity amongst its genre), and truly interesting quests.

Lufia 2, Sim Tower, Theme Hospital, Harvest Moon.

I like these because there old titles, and truly expresses some of the originality of older games. it seems more to be a race on better graphics and more complex gameplay anymore, also i feel game designers have really lost focus on what truly makes a great game ...

Favorite system was the game gear.. such amazing hardware for its time... to bad it never lasted to long ...
