The target on any picture shown on tv is how drunk he was not his statements. But even then...he was drunk we all say stupid things when we are drunk.

I think the target is because of his anti-semitism not for the DUI.

I don't think people really understand how powerful the Jews are...if they want Mel on a cross, they are going to attempt it.

See, as usual, people are not getting the entire story. The man made a movie about Christ and was withstood by the Jewish powers dominating Hollywood. The man lived under extreme stress because he made a movie about Christ. Why? Cause Jews hate Christianity. See, the bigotry started there, with Jewish hatred. Who are they to try and stop or pressure Mel for making a movie about Christ? They did just that. It was they who started the stress on his life. That stress was building up and hurting his career in a city dominated by Jews. When he got drunk, all of that stress just poured on out.

How does Hollywood become dominated by Jews? Who gets a movie? Who gets a promo? Who gets advanced? Why so many Jewish actors getting jobs? Are Jews promoting Jews, to the hurt of other non-Jews? Why am I anti-Semitic for pointing out bigotry?

Mel was not an anti-Semite. If he is now, surely, it's the Jews doing. How is a man supposed to respond to pressure like that? Except to hate them. (and still Mel doesn't hate them) And again, why do Jewish people have such a dominating stronghold over all the media and so many other areas of our lives?

I think it is the fact that 1. he was driving drunk. 2. he was stopped and try to run. 3. he called the female officer "sugar t*ts" and the other officer if he was a Jew. 4. he made anti-Semitic remarks.
Gee, I think there are a couple of reasons why everyone is talking about this frenzy. People now know how he really feels, that he has an alcohol problem and that he was raised by a man who believed there was no Holocaust at all.
Leave this guy alone? It is going to take quite a while before anyone wants to be "bothered" by him. Now his "sorrys" are going to be in vain. I think for all the directors and actors and anyone who has worked with him who is of the Jewish faith or who are partially of the Jewish faith, will be weary of him. Hell, if he thinks that way, kind of makes you wonder what he feels about African-American and other cultures and religions.

I agree, we all say stupid things (and do stupid things) while intoxicated.

The things he said were wrong (supposedly, I wasn't there, he didn't say them to me-so I can't be passing judgement!). He apologized, hopefully he will get help for the problem- DRINKING & DRIVING!

If he is 'blackballed' in Hollywood for the comments he made. Shame on them. Many in Hollywood have made quite a bit of money because of that man. That would make them a bit hypocritical.

its not that he got drunk and was busted, its the fact that he said anti-semitic remarks...which isnt cool. but you are right...okay, he said them..next news story please. he isnt a decision maker in this country like a politician...i now know what he thinks of jewish people. i will take that into account in whether or not i see his next movie...time to tell me more about other crap going on in the US and world, rather than hearing about mel...but you do live in LA, so hollywood crap is all the rage, have fun with it for a while!

I believe alcohol removes inhibitions and some express deep felt opinions when inebriated.

Those people should not be forced to apologize - they should do it on their own initiative.

And if they don't then you know where you stand with them.

Yes, it should be reported once not over and over.

Bush has done more damaging things to this country than has not ever made the news much more to be repeat ad nauseaum.

I agree. Although, when you are famous you are in the publics eye and held up to a higher standard. The media thrives on bashing anyone. For all we know this might just be a publicity stunt for his new movie.
