I don't think that Castro is faking it. The man is almost 80 years old and, like many seniors, he is having medical problems. There is a possibility that he may already be dead. The Cuban-Americans that live in Miami and nearby areas are excited about this news. Many have waited a long time for this to happen.
The US will want proof when this happens before any change takes place with our relations with Cuba. His brother now is in charge. We will have to see what he does and hope that he will try to end the current method of government in Cuba.

From every indication it seems like either way the US isn't going to life the trade embargo. But yes, it is a possibility its not as grave as it seems and there is also a possibility that he has already passed on, since no one has seen him publicly for three days. I doubt it. The man is so into himself that he can spend up to 8 hours giving a speech. I don't beleive that he is about to even give the impression that he has relinquished the reins of power.

I doubt it. He has run his country with all the obstacles the USA has put in front of him. Lets be honest he has passed it on to his brother who is no different.
