I mean people fight over the words "under God" well how about we don't need the pledge of alligence at all... if we get invaded I will defend the homeland, wether I say a brain washing statement every day or not....

We don't need a pledge. It's just another way for the government to try and instill a sense of false pride in its people. As if saying a few words makes a person patriotic.

WOW!! I shocked and sickened by the statements I see here. There's nothing brain washing about the Pledge of Allegiance. It's a belief and way of life. These views only show the decline of our American society. There is true pride in the Pledge and our Nat'l Anthem. The people that fight over words that our forefathers put on coins, buildings and statements of America are basically idiots. They don't believe in anything and especially God. The same people beg God to help them in times of trouble and expect our military to die protecting their rights to spew such ridiculous things. The decline of our society is frightening. Just because you don't believe in something, don't force that upon someone else, especially in a place where it's stood in history for so long and has meaning to it. Crazy stuff!!

Do you stay in u.s.? if so, then you certainly're of direction a free individual (except you're in penitentiary or reformatory for committing a criminal offense.) except that, in case you do not prefer to assert "God," then do not. fairly basic! all the unconventional lefties could study a lesson, that they don't favor to make this kind of huge deal out of a freedom they have already got. go away the Pledge of Allegiance on my own, it of direction does not recommend something to you because it has "God" in it, so bypass on already! you are able to be frightened about something like Obama's existence or death health care plan! which will extremely impression you!!! (in a foul way!)
