Films today lack creativity and some of them are crappy remakes which puts to shame the original works of the writers and directors who first made the films.

today's movies are all about special effects, violence, etc. which is truly ok....but the older movies had "great plots and a storyline"....that was the center of attention....not special effects....

For sure! Movies in the past had great stories to tell. They didn't depend so much on special effects. There were exceptions, of course (Wizard of Oz,The Ten Commandments, etc) As for remakes of older movies, my thoughts are "WHY ?" Whats the point? If it was a great movie before, what can anyone do to improve it?

I think you`re probably right. Most of the films are often very annoying, too annoying.Àlthough i tried many times to watch old stuff i couldn`t stand the acting.I guess i find it feeble and too fake. So i might say that the stories are repeated and scr**ed but the acting is deffinatly better....
