The only people who use the "evolved from apes" phrase are creationists.

i have a weird theory on this one but don't take it too seriously, it came up while drinking/talking with friends so don't take it too seriously...

Everybody assumes humans are the highest evolved.. the apes were first, and humans are last (with all the other differnt humanoids in the middle.)

We figured that aliens MAY exist and they're actually a more evolved form than humans. Why? All apes have lots of hair, humans have less hair, and actually are starting to lose hair... did you ever see a description of an alien with hair?

There are humans on earth (mainly the remote tribes in Africa) that haven't evolved or discovered/used any kind of technology. If you think about it, the more advanced civilizations rarely see them, we do a documentary every so often, but for the most part we just let them be...

Maybe WE are the remote tribes as compared to aliens (or more advanced humans)....every so often they visit us earthlings, do their documentary report, but for the most part, just let us be.

Maybe it's some kind of DNA evolution retardation that over the course of hundreds of thousands of years, has allowed apes, tribes, humans, and aliens to all co-exist at the same time!

Again, we were all drunk, having a good time, so I'm hoping all the religious fanatics don't take this too seriously!

Dr. M, 1)God created Eve from the rib of Adam. Why do we still have ribs? The bottom left rib (the one God used) is the only bone in your entire body that will grow back if removed.

2) why girls are not created from guys ribs anymore? Are you kidding me? I can't believe it. it is possible to have a negative IQ. wow.

3) Why girls are not asking for apples from guys ? why do they ask for expensive diamonds instead? Eve gave Adam the fruit. not vise versa. Ask a question that's actually worth while.

4) Why the creationists are still crying and doubting their creator? Who's crying? We're laughing at all of you for believing that ur a monkey.

5)why asking us to prove these silly questions to satisfy them selves that they are right? because you're wrong and you believing that ur a monkey is rediculous. Did you know that Darwin appologized for comeing up with the theory of evolution? Even he knew that that was rediculous.

The theory of evolution requires the earth having been here for billions of years. The earths electromagnetic field decreases in streangth each year, so if live began 100,000,000 years ago, the electromagnetic field would have been so strong it would have killed anything that was living. Also, the moon moves a little bit farther away each year so a few million years ago it would have been a few inches from the surface causing constant tsunamis. Also, the Earth slows down a little each year, so when life supposedly began it would have been flung off the earth by the centrifugal force. Comets are also proof that the universe is not billions of years old. Every time they come by the sun they loose a little of their mass so they're only good for about 10,000 years. Science explains this with the "Oort Cloud" which supposedly spits out a new comet every x number a years, but NO ONE has EVER seen this cloud. That was created just to support that the universe is billions of years old. In fact, text books say that the universe is billions of years old JUST to back up the big bang theory and the theory of evolution. There is NO proof that the universe is billions of years old whatsoever.
Scientists claim that skulls they found are proof that there were part man and part ape because the skulls look somewhat apelike. Did you know that the only 3 bones in your body that never stop growing are your forhead, nose, and jawbone? According to the bible, people used to live for hundreds of years. This would give HUMANS time for those three bones to grow to previously unheard of sizes and it WOULD look somewhat apelike... just like the skulls. WE DID NOT COME FROM APES!! That is a lie.

In response to this statement, some evolutionists point out that they don’t believe that we descended from apes, but that apes and humans share a common ancestor. However, the evolutionary paleontologist G.G. Simpson had no time for this “pussyfooting,” as he called it. He said, “In fact, that earlier ancestor would certainly be called an ape or monkey in popular speech by anyone who saw it. Since the terms ape and monkey are defined by popular usage, man’s ancestors were apes or monkeys (or successively both). It is pusillanimous [mean-spirited] if not dishonest for an informed investigator to say otherwise.”

However, the main point against this statement is that many evolutionists believe that a small group of creatures split off from the main group and became reproductively isolated from the main large population, and that most change happened in the small group which can lead to allopatric speciation (a geographically isolated population forming a new species). So there’s nothing in evolutionary theory that requires the main group to become extinct.

It’s important to note that allopatric speciation is not the sole property of evolutionists—creationists believe that most human variation occurred after small groups became isolated (but not speciated) at Babel, while Adam and Eve probably had mid-brown skin color. The quoted erroneous statement is analogous to saying “If all people groups came from Adam and Eve, then why are mid-brown people still alive today?”

So what’s the difference between the creationist explanation of people groups (“races”) and the evolutionist explanation of people origins? Answer: the former involves separation of already-existing information and loss of information through mutations; the latter requires the generation of tens of millions of “letters” of new information.

Apes are evolving into better apes. Being human is not the goal of the other species on the planet.

Evolution has no goal except survival and reproduction.

The modification is only passed on to the direct descendents of the original mutant. Other apes don't evolve into us because they aren't descended from the mutant.
For a fuller answer read Origin of the Species by Charles Darwin 1859; specifically the chapter 'Difficulties on Theory' which answers that specific question.

Because evolution has no direction.

Their ancestors weren't subjected to the same environmental stresses ours were, they didn't need to change their lifestyle to survive. The forests of the ancestors of apes stayed largely intact, while the hominid forests dwindled and vanished due to climate changes.

Big brains are expensive to run from a metabolic viewpoint. It averages around three pounds but uses 20% of the bodys oxygen intake. Most of the other branches of the hominid tree petered out before reaching even half the modern average brain size. HIgh intelligence is a very risky strategy for creatures that live hand to mouth.

That's like saying "If America was first founded by Europeans, why are there still Europeans? Why haven't they all become Americans?" If you can answer that, they you should realize that the answer to your question is fairly trivial.

I'm serious. It's exactly the same concept. You are confusing the history of a *group* with the actions of *individuals*. It only takes a small population of *individuals* to establish a brand new *group*. There is no reason *all* members of the original group (Europeans or 'apes') have to follow and become members of the new group (Americans or humans). The two groups are now free to develop independently.

to all those bible bashing freeks , we did evolve from apes and there is no god got it ! the reason that we evolved and others didn't is that some apes tried different things which changed them enough to start evolving their brains to think more and understand their eviroment and use it , which over millions of years eventually made us as we are ! and that's why we are only 1% different in our DNA to apes !

We didn't evolve from apes. Apes and us evolved from something else, taking different paths. And whatever we both evolved from (the common ancestor) is long gone.
