Dont worry. I have had the morning aftre pill and the same happened, it will muck up your periods once or twice then all will return to normal!
If not see your doc. Also, well done on being sensible and taking it, many girls dont bother and risk it! For reliable contraception try Implanon, a small implant stays in for 3 years and there is no pill to forget!

Hello,

The morning after pill is a large dose of hormones used to confuse your body and destroy a very early pregnancy ie three days and less. Normal side effects are mood swings sore breasts etc much like a period however in some cases (very few) some spotting can occur. Spotting is defined as very small amounts of blood appearing in your knickers that you would not notice unless you looked it would not soak your knickers. The bleeding you are describing is not a usual side affect of the pill and i suggest that you go and see your doctor immediately. It may be that the morning after pill has induced you period but definitely definitely go and get it checked out

This is normal. Remember that these pills are simply higher dose bc pills and the introduction of more hormones into your system can have this effect on your cycle.

If you had a ectopic pregnancy, you would be in severe pain with abdominal cramps, unable to walk and the pain would not stop, so I dont think that is what you are experiencing. However, be sure to see your gyno and talk these issues over just to better understand what is happening with your body.

If it was an ectopic pregnancy you would be in a lot of pain. Dont worry its just your body responding to the hormones in the pill you took. If the bleeding gets heavy and painful then see a doc xx
