I have just got a new top from topshop and being a fashion clutz am unsure what to wear with it. It is basically a t-shirt with the neck being in the style of a slit neck but is essentially backless. The back is open and comes together by a knot it the middle. Obviously dont want bra on show so do i get a front only bra or wear a vest under the top (wont this look weird as only at back?)

Definately no vest :)

The style this fall is to have detail or exposure in the BACK of the top, rather than the front, to call attention to the neglected posterior view :) Buy a backless self adhesive bra, leave your back open for the show.

I assume the front of the shirt is rather plain? You can adorn it with a long multi-strand necklace that matches your shoes and bag. Knock em dead!

You can go bra-less if you dare. The top is made in such a way its bare back, what's the point of covering it up with a vest when the back cant be seen? You do not need to wear a bra! When you're wearing bare back, you have to be confident and keep ur posture straight and chin up when you walk. Match it with a pair of tight fitting straight cut or belt bottom jeans and it won't go wrong. It doesn't matter if your "Cups" are small on the front, Alot of supermodels who walk on the runway go bra-less. Its the Confidence you portrays! Go for it!
Pls note that,if you really have to wear something, just a nipple tape will do because if you choose a wrong bra to match, you are going to look weird and it doesn't reflects as sexy, its reflects as "Sa La"

Hope this helps-Carolina Tay

hmm.. a big NO-NO for the vest idea..

1 the kind of tube bra? it's comfortable..
2 the strappy kind of bikini bra that goes zig-zag on your back.. i find it kind of sexy..
3 lacey kind of bra.. but make sure it's not some grannies kind..
4 front only bra.. to be on the safe side..
5 the nipples sticker.. quite safe and comfortable.. just like not wearing any bra..
6 nubra[nudebra?] comfortable..
7 be daring! none at all.. but make sure the front is secure enough.. unless you are going for the peek-a-boo style..

tight jeans.. leather jeans, mini skirt or a mid length jaggard kind of skirt with some soft belt chains..

remember.. if you have it.. flaunt it.. and if you are uncomfortable with what you wear.. change it!

Do you mean that your top is a halter top? Anyway, I would recommend for you to get a customisable bra, you know, the ones with removable straps that allow you to wear them with strap or strapless. Then, you could lengthen one of the straps, so that it can span across your neck.

If you're not talking about a halter top, then you should buy one of those adhesive bras that only cover the front. I have one and they stick on well. I don't have to worry about it slipping down like strapless bras.

Believe it or not, girls, some tops are designed to be worn without a bra, but if that's too scary, then try a bra deliberately visible (ie something spectacular from eg La Senza, not just a white one out of M&S).

I wouldnt wear a vest. Why not invest in one of those invisible bras - they have no straps or back fastening, just stick to you at the front.

where a bra that is clear in the back! Or if you don't have one of those where a lacy bra and let people see it. Seeing women's bra's turns them one.
