I am from Ohio and a soon to be early childhood teacher. The lisensure for our teaching certificates are prek-3, 4-9, and AYA (which is middle school through high school). If your teaching certificate is for grades 4-8, I would say absolutely, you can teach 4th and 5th grades in elementary. You may want to double check with your local school but I would highly think so.
Best of luck to you :)

Yes you can. As long as you have the 4-8 printed on your teaching certificate the schools may place you in any of those grade levels and still meet their criteria for renewed accreditation. Our system just moved a teacher from the elementary to middle school because her certificate said 1-6. She went from 3rd grade to 6th grade social studies.

Your institution have to suck if you are honestly critical. How regularly have you ever failed the seventh grade? Every institution I can feel of might paintings along scholars who've didn't make certain they move the following 12 months. If you are 15 then I'm guessing that might imply you've gotten failed seventh grade two-four occasions? Why? If you are lazy, and do not do the paintings, then yeah. What might you assume? And seventh grade is not even rough. I bear in mind being in seventh grade (twelfth grade now), and it was once useful. Although judging by way of your spelling and grammar then might be it IS rough... And additionally, I can see you are asking one more query in there, as you are saying "so my query is" however I cannot honestly snatch what it's precisely that you are pronouncing. You make no feel whatever. You particularly want aid along with your spelling and grammar. It's noticeable you do not care approximately institution, however you have got to begin worrying. Do you wish to be selecting up garbage off the streets or operating at Macca's incomes minimal salary whilst your peers (assuming you will have peers) are operating incomes tonnes? Do you wish to be noticeable as a useless-beat, drop-kick loser, who simply did not care. In truth, to be sincere, you would be fortunate getting a task at the ones locations even. People who do not care would possibly not be hired. Not graduating institution, or being held again tonnes, particularly places a damper on employment. So, virtually, when you hold going at the manner you are going, get ready for a homeless, jobless, miserable long term. Everyone will seem down on you (despite the fact that they generally do this already) Clean up your act bro. It's no longer cool. It's honestly particularly lame

Depending on your state licensure (you should contact the Department of Education in the state you reside in) You should be able to teach with your current certification. Being that you have grade (4-8) and high school (6-12) certification, you should be covered to teach 4th and 5th grade.

Can't answer that, but there's an English problem. Teachers who had been to Teachers' Training College as opposed to Uni called themselves 'certificated' for the simple reason that 'certified' was used for people who had been committed to a psychiatric unit and had subsequently, on release, been 'certified' sane.

Under the NCLB (No Child Left Behind) guidelines, if you are middle school endorsed, and do not have an elementary certificate, I do not believe that you can.
