Did you ever notice that people will post questions and choose the best answer that is most similar to their thought process?
For example: My husband looks at porn, what should I do?
8 out of 10 answers said, "nothing, porn is natural for men to look at".
The best answer she choose was a closed-minded individual who blasted pornography.
Some people seem to post opinion questions and will only understand the answers they agree with. That frustrates the helI out of me.
It's mostly women, too!

We all have different opinions and situations that we are currently in. Just because the majority of the people agree one way does not mean it is a universal right. The real important thing is, did the person that posted the question read those 8 out of 10 and think about them or take anything from them. No one will know what anyone takes from their questions so it is hard to accuse people of being close minded. Maybe the person had a bad experience with porn and has a reason to agree with the one who thinks it is wrong.
Who knows, either way at least on this site you get to see some answers that are from normal people just like you and me. For me, I do not really care if someone has a right or wrong answer if they can give me reasons why they came up with the answer that they have. If people can say this is the thought process I had and the facts I used to come up with my decision, great!!! That is better than people just believing everything they hear from people or the media without ever looking into things and formulating their own ideas.

I think you sound a little closed minded yourself. Saying that only women do this? Yes people are closed minded on this site, and yes it's annoying. But why do you care? Aren't there more important things in life to worry about than Yahoo! Answers participants. Don't worry about these people. Worry about you and making sure you have an open mind. And what will your best answer be for this question? Are you going to choose the person who says nobody is closed minded.. the person with the answer least like your question?

Some people take this way to seriously!
Some people could care less and just pick a best answer by closing there eyes and clicking.
Some actually find the best answer whether it is or not.
But mostly I find that people are just trying to rack up points.
I like to answer questions, I try my best to help. If I can find the answer on the Internet I do, if not I give my thoughts.
People are people, that will never change.

And aren't you being closed-minded by blasting the closed-minded? It is good in our world that people stand up for truth, it happens so little now days.
Now if you are truly open-minded, you will pick this as the best answer because it does not agree with what you just said.

You are absolutely right, but I would have to say I'm a litlle bit offended by the " mostly women" comment you made. Almost everyone does that. This site is not really about questions and answers. Its mainly about let me see how many people share my opinion on this issue. thast just the way it goes.

I've noticed that too! It is really frustrating like what was the point in posting a question if you already knew what you wanted to do anyway?

I agree, if people already know the answers to their questions then they should not post a question. I think people just want confirmation on whatever they are thinking.

its not just this site...its all the sites...its the world...
as for the porn thing ~ sure men seem to require a more visual stimulus than women BUT if it offends you ~ then you need to talk about it and if he loves you a compromise of sorts could and should be reached

well have you considered that these people arent really looking for answers but for confirmation in what they are thinking. i mean, some people are genuinely asking for help. other people are looking to have a conversation that involvees them asking a question, another person saying what they wish they would, and confirming that "hey, i'm not an idiot after all." lol dunno about the women thing. theres a bit of an attack there, but whatever, thats your opinion. lol. but i agree it gets annoying sometimes.
