I'm 13 and think I might be pregnant, what should I do?

My boyfriend Raul and I just started having sex a few weeks ago and I missed my period and I've been feelin kind of funny. We used protection but i guess you never know. What should I do, I'm too scared to tell anyone especially cuz I don't know if I am or not

Well, it could be a couple of things. At 13 your period may be irregular still. Also, stress (if your worrying your pregnant) can actually cause your cycle to get outta whack. Try a home pregnancy test. The ones these days can detect much earlier. Be careful though for false positives. Retake the test in a few weeks if you get a positive reading. If it is positive again, chances are you are pregnant.

I know it is a scary situation but you should talk to an adult. If not parents, then planned parenthood or someone else you trust and can confide in. They can offer guidence and support.

But really, give it some time, it may be nothing.

You need to seek medical advice. There is a thing called doctor/patient priveledge that means a doctor can't talk to other people about your case. And you can feel safe about that. Truthfully, not all doctors will follow that rule. But you still need to seek medical advice. A clinic, your family doctor, etc.

You know the drill about talking to your parent(s) so I won't get into that because deep down you know you should. Give them some credit.

You need to make sure that if you are going to have sex (which at 13 you should think twice about, then think twice more) you are protected and that you know how to do it properly. Pregnancy is probably the best of the worst possible scenerios when it comes to this; meaning AIDS, STD's, etc.

And again, think hard about telling your parents.

Well if you used protection you should be ok! but did you check if the condom(if you used a condom as protection)split after he withdrew.You might be feeling funny cos you might be coming on your period like craving chocolate mood swings or crying.Get a pregnancy test if you really are worried.you have to have a serious talk with your boyfriend about what could happen.Let me know how you got on chicky!

ur thirteen what the hell r u doin having sex at ur age? u may think it will be easy raising a baby, it aint especially at ur age,ur still a baby urself.u need to get to the doctors and find out ASAP, u also have to think wheather ur gonna keep it,if the father will help & how u will support it.u may think the goverment grant will help,i'll tell u the truth it doesnt go far,i hope ur not pregnant,u should be focusing on school and worring about sex when ur old enough to enjoy it.GOOD LUCK DARL!

Tell your mom/parents

If you are not pregnant then stop having sex all together.

You are not a grown woman and sex is for ADULTS ONLY, not for children and you are not an adult.

Do not ruin your teen years just because you think you need to have sex when you should be worrying about getting a high school diploma.

Go to a planned parenthood clinic. You might need to talk to your parents so that you can get money from them, or maybe your boyfriend could take you. Planned parenthood will NOT tell your parents, and if you have health insurance they might even take it their and not tell your parents and then it would be free!

If you are going to be sexually active that is your choice, but you need to
1) be on birth control
2) be tested for STDs

Planned parenthood does not charge your very much so you should be able to afford it.

They can give you a pregnancy test too

i now how you feel go 2 your local pharmacy and get a pregnancy test my mom has talked to me about it. your parents should understand your a teen your going to become interested in this kind of thing but this is a time when you need them the most

that's a mistake you will have to deal with for the rest of your life. take the test...i think you are. don't have an abortion. you have to tell your mom. if you aren't pregnant, let this be a lesson to you to stop having sex!
