Call me cheap, but with finances the way they are, I can stand for my house to be a little dark to save some money (this along with other money-saving schemes) Anyone else feel the same way? What do you do to save a buck or two?

instead of using Incandescent Bulbs (regular light bulbs) i use the compact fluorescent light bulb (2x as much for price) but get a lot brighter - 24 watts=light of a 100watt. So i get the brightness of a 100 watt buld but only use 1/4 of the energy. Plus they last 5-10 longer. use the bulbs all over the house - less money.

My wattage depends on where I put them. For example, I have a couple lamps in my family room area that I'd never use for reading and things like that, so they are lower wattage. The same for my room.

I also try to buy the bulbs that last longer (5 years) that look twisty. They are a bit more expensive but I figure if I'm guaranteed to get them to last awhile, that's great.

in case you want to keep, use better powerful CFL or LED lighting fixtures, you'll keep something like 60% of your invoice. "distinction in utilization between a 40 and 60 the same as between a 20 and 40" ?? What does "distinction in utilization" mean? Do you mean gentle output? truly the better wattage bulb places out better gentle, in the adventure that they are the same form. "distinction between a low wattage bulb and a severe wattage bulb dimmed" the former is plenty better powerful. Incandescent bulbs are at their perfect even as run on the rated voltage. "distinction in utilization between one severe wattage bulb and diverse bulbs which upload as a lot as the same wattage" There could be little distinction, and both could be better powerful searching on the precise form.
