Well, while there is no real way to find out that for sure.. you know.. print a pic out their butt or something.. I know one person who seems to have this gift.. and has proved it on many occasions.
We get a book from the library.. A really big one.. with lots of words that we don't understand.. and we find a page and tell her to look at it for 2 minutes..
After she's done, we go through the page and pick a line and tell her to recite it to us.. she does it every time... I can even pick a word.. " Tell me what word 1524 is.. and she'll tell me"
It's awesome.. she used to do GREAT in school.... and if she took a test first.. she told us the questions. It was great.

Many many people have a photographic memory. Amount of memory is different for everyone depending on LOTS of factors.

Well the reverse is true I can tell you. Dumb people like me see things that aren't really there. Yesterday, for example, I turned my head while gardening about a dozen times thinking I was seeing the next door neighbor (who I don't like much) sitting on the porch smoking a cigarette the way the creap always does.
In fact it was a bag of potting soil.

I know two people who seem to have this gift, although neither claims to be able to recall an actual image. However, they can both remember incredible detail and in seemingly unlimited volumes. Interestingly, they are a mother and her son. May God bless and keep you.
