another movie over, yes many people forget about the 2nd half of the film after they've done boot camp

ooo toughy. I have so many, I like the part where they soap Pyle, Modine's inner debate and eventual going with the crowd is pivotal for the character, especially considering that he had been promoted by standing out when he refused to answer the drill sergeant about the Virgin Mary (another fav). It was pivotal for Pyle too as the last vestiges of the kindness of humanity were beaten out of him. Funny though, most of the people I know who like this movie only really watch the first half. It's like a short movie tha could easily stand on its own.
