some Betta's are happy being on the backside of the tank. this does not unavoidably propose affliction. whilst the fish does not consume, then difficulty. you do no longer ought to alter a gallon field of water as quickly as a week. this is terrific to alter a million/4 of it as quickly as a week. on the tip of roughly 5 weeks, set aside a million/4 of the grimy water with the Betta and upload sparkling water to that. every time you put in all sparkling water, you're stunning the fish. make optimistic the water is room temperature. We feed Bettas freeze dried blood worms. they are closest to what this fish eats interior the wild, that's mosquitoes.

I'm sorry. I have Betta too and I enjoy them a lot. I agree with the prior answer. Usually when they are on the bottom part of it is that they are cold. Also look on the web under Betta Care and you should find some very helpful sites.

Maybe when you bought him he was already older. Sounds like he isn't doing well. Have you changed the water recently? you are supposed to change about 40% of the water. Make sure the water is moving, like having some bubbles in it or a filter working. It is better that the water is moving to help them breathe better. Good Luck

It sounds like your Beta has a bacterial infection. Have you tested the water the Beta is in? Using the links below, they both say your beta is sick and needs attention.
