A colleague of mine is going on a cruise soon. Problem is she is the cleanest person in the world and is hoping to be able to wash her clothes while away. Do they have laundry rooms?

Go to your cruise line's website. Some do and some don't have washers and dryers. Usually the websites have a FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions area and that is where you can find out. Some also include a booklet with the tickets that talk about the amenities, dress codes, etc. It's important to read these things. FYI, Most ships do not allow personal irons in your cabin so you also need to know if there are ironing facilities in the laundry as well. P.S. As of Dec. 31st 2006 you will need a passport if your cruise ship stops in a port of another country. In the past you were allowed visa into the port under the cruise ship. But that will end this year. So get your passport if you don't already have one.

I don't know if they have it for the people traveling.I know that they better have it for the sheets and linen!I don't trust cruise ships and been hearing things about bed bugs. Some hotels have them too.I'm a clean person too and i would probably not even want to sleep in a bed that a million people been on.I think that she can call what ever cruise line and ask them before the trip. That way she can figure out what to do.I would be just as concerned with where im going to sleep and how clean the room is.

Yes, there are always coin operated washers and dryers on cruise ships.
Try to get to them early in the morning, because the lines can be long.
To your colleague: Have a great cruise!
