It is nice...but they should ahve done it for the refineeries.....we can get more oil, but our refineries or producing at 100%...it won't matter about the more oil...

Using safe, modern methods there is no reason not to drill. Besides most of the land where the oil is nothing but rock. Hardly the last pristine wilderness paradise most liberals would have you believe. I am also all for off shore drilling. That oil is ours for the taking. Its foolish to let it just sit there when we know its there particularly when oil prices are so high.

We really, really need to work on alternative energy sources, but for now, we're screwed and need the oil. I believe in solar energy, and I'm sure we'll have it the minute someone figures out how to charge us for sunlight and starts making huge political contributions.

We can take our fair share of that oil, or leave it all for Cuba to take with the help of the Chinese. Cuba and China are now at least in the planning stage, and they may be drilling already.

We get a more secure supply and hopefully at less cost .
