I used to just like a bit of normal TV when I went to bed. The odd late film or a repeat of something I'd missed. Now it's full of flaming quiz channels!
Saying that, you can hardly call them quizzes can you?! It's just find the missing word. It really annoys me when the presenters keep going on that the prizes must be won and nobody has won for ages when they only take calls 5 minutes apart.
Lets face it, these are just money making schemes for TV channels. The prize money must be a fraction of all that they rake in at 75p a call.
Oh, and erm.....yes, I have called in after all that. Not been anywhere near being picked!!!

The simple answer if you want some reasonably intelligent TV overnight is to go on SKY. It might cost you a few bob, but since I came out of hospital last March I've not been able to go downstairs to my bed, so I'm having to sleep in the living room with a large TV and it's been heaven ! I don't think it's been off since then, and I can assure you that the price of the Sky sub is well worth it, if only NOT to have to watch those crap game stations all night ! With so many other chanels to watch and learn from you'll become an expert question answerer here too !

They are terrible. All the questions have about 200 possible answers but it's a cheap way to make lots of money like those awful channels where losers text half naked girls for about £3 a text

They are an absolute disgrace and an insult to adults. Every question that they ask can be answered in at least adozen different ways and they are a complete rip off. I counted 10 freeview channels last night with that crap on it so I just went on Yahoo answers.

I have stupidly rung a few times, but never got through!!
The questions are always impossible to answer anyway, they dont make sense. Like the adding up of the numbers ones!
My other half loves them though, she sits up all night trying to figure them out!!

I heard that the ITV version has made over £20m but has only paid out prizes of just under £7m.
Not a bad bit of business.
